This module explores hybrid workflows that integrate artificial intelligence, digital tools and analogue media as complementary parts of a single architectural design process. Rather than treating AI as a tool for producing final outputs, the module positions it as a means to explore, experiment and enrich the creative process. Throughout the course, students will be introduced to different design methodologies that combine sketching, collage, digital modelling and generative AI. They will analyse these strategies, put them into practice and develop their own workflow, identifying the sequence of tools and methods that best supports their way of thinking and designing. The goal is to build a personal design methodology.

Learning outcomes
By the end of the module, students will have developed their own hybrid workflow for architectural design, integrating analogue, digital and AI tools. They will be able to use different forms of representation—diagrams, images and video—as instruments for exploration, analysis and decision-making throughout the design process, while maintaining authorship and critical judgement.
Professional outcomes
Students will incorporate contemporary design methodologies into their professional practice, using artificial intelligence as an integrated part of the design process rather than simply as a system for generating images.
Methodology
Learn by doing, on the student's own real project. No software tutorials: a pre-built starting package is provided and base resources are given apart. Sessions combine a short input, guided practice and critique.

Deliverable
Deliverable F6: The final deliverable consists of a documented architectural design workflow developed throughout the module. Students will present the evolution of their project through diagrams, drawings, images and video, demonstrating how analogue, digital and AI tools have been integrated into a coherent design methodology.
