Manuel Monteserín

Manuel is an architect, researcher and educator. Founder of Monteserín Architects and Manu-Facturas, he develops international projects at the intersection of architecture, art and technology. He was the lead architect of the Kaohsiung Maritime and Pop Music Center (88,000 m², Taiwan), awarded the FIABCI World Prix d'Excellence (2021) and the Taiwan Architecture Award – Special Prize (2023). In 2024 he won the competition for the Gwangyang Observation Tower (South Korea).

He is a PhD candidate at ETSAM-UPM, researching the integration of generative AI in architectural creation under the title "CLINAMEN DIGITAL". He runs AI workshops at institutions such as ETSAM and the Casa de la Arquitectura, and collaborates with architecture firms on the development of projects using artificial intelligence.

In education, he is a professor at UNIR (Advanced Tools) and Final Degree Project tutor at IED Madrid. He has taught at ETSAM and the AA School in London. Projects under his supervision received the First Prize HP–NASA for the design of a city for one million inhabitants on Mars.
