Antonio Canero Santiesteban

Antonio Canero is the Platform Architect leading the architecture and development of PRYZM (from February 2025) — a browser-native BIM platform built on a semantic-first architecture where geometry is treated as a deterministic projection of structured building data. PRYZM enables IFC-native BIM authoring, AI-assisted modelling orchestration, real-time 3D rendering (Three.js/WebGL), and scalable cloud infrastructure entirely in the browser. The platform's AI layer executes actions through the same deterministic command system as human interactions — making AI behaviour reproducible and auditable. He built a PDF-to-BIM feature reconstructing walls, slabs, openings, and furniture as semantic BIM elements from uploaded floor plan PDFs.

His career spans architecture, BIM leadership, product strategy, and software engineering at the world's most demanding AEC organisations: Principal Implementation Consultant and Product Owner at Autodesk (May 2022 – January 2025, Europe — enterprise BIM initiatives including a major collaboration with Ramboll); BIM Manager at HASSELL (November 2019 – June 2022, Australia — Project BIM Manager for Cross River Rail, one of Australia's largest infrastructure programmes, coordinating 100+ contributors from early design through Issue for Construction); BIM Manager at Grimshaw (July 2018 – December 2019, Sydney — BIM Manager and Design Lead for Martin Place Station Development, combining metro infrastructure with two commercial towers); and BIM Lead and Architectural Technologist at Arup (March 2017 – July 2018, London). He holds an MSc in Execution and Coordination of Construction Works and an MSc in Building and Architectural Engineering from the Universidad de Sevilla.

At MIAWS he serves as Module Coordinator for F7 (AI Documentation — AI-automated project documentation, specifications, compliance checking, BIM data management, and the knowledge systems that make a practice's information durable and reusable).
