Melanie Waidler

Melanie Waidler is an architect, urban designer and urban planner, trained at ETSAM-UPM and TU Delft. She works as an independent consultant in urban planning and geospatial analysis and is currently involved in national and international masterplans, in collaboration with urban design studios such as Cota Cero S.U. and Gehl People.

She designs advanced analysis, diagnosis and data-driven design workflows and pipelines that combine databases and tools to build a deep understanding of any place and support informed decisions.

She has carried out urban research at the UPM Department of Urban Planning, on applied projects in urban health, proximity planning, sustainable land management, and advanced databases and technologies applied to urban strategies. At MIAWS she is part of the programme's faculty.
