Iago Romero Ogando

Iago, an architect by training, has taught at universities in Madrid, London and Taiwan, and for over ten years has been developing artificial intelligence products to tackle social challenges.

In 2016 he founded Urban Data Eye (Vodafone Innovation Award winner, Y Combinator finalist, 1st prize at the CBRE PropTech Challenge), deploying its technology in cities such as Pittsburgh, Madrid and Amsterdam, and at companies including Airbus and KPMG, to help them understand how people use large spaces. Later, as Chief Product Officer at Savana, he spent four years leading the launch of clinical AI products in hospitals across Spain.

In 2025 he founded BRISA (Digital Entrepreneurship Award from the Community of Madrid) to accelerate the decarbonisation of cities and infrastructure using a proprietary time-series foundation model trained on 11 billion data points. Its platform already manages energy efficiency across 400 buildings of the Generalitat de Catalunya and air quality in Pamplona, and will soon operate energy demand for the Balearic Islands Port Authority and suburban district heating networks in Finland.
